Danny originally drew this from on one of our favorite daylilies growing under the great walnut tree. In the afternoon when shafts of light pierce the tree canopy and hit the bright red flowers with yellow throats, they seem to glow.

These lilies grow just off the front veranda and on warm summer evenings you can almost see the fragrance permeating the air. I think Danny has captured it perfectly. This large drawing is from a sketch he did of an arrangement in one of our Small Avalon vases.
